Advising: Writing Placement

In order to pass out of the ENC 1123 requirement a student must have EITHER:

• An ACT score of 29 or higher in Engl, or
• An ACT score of 29 or higher in Reading, or
• an SAT "WRITING" score of 650 or above.

Students with transfer credit for ENC 1101 and ENC 1102 get credit for 2 Gordon rule courses, and need not take ENC 1123: we credit them with having taken the equivalent of ENC 1123.
