Exam Credit
Florida Atlantic will accept up to 45 semester hours of credit for students who achieve appropriate scores on the AICE, AP, IB, and/or CLEP tests. Please note:
- The Office of Admissions will not accept exam credit from another college transcript.
- Scores will be incorporated into the student record within two to four weeks of receipt.
- The name of the student on the test score report should match the name used to apply to Florida Atlantic University.
To receive credit, official test scores must be sent from the testing organization directly to the Office of Admissions via the links below. Credit will be awarded only once for the same subject, whether from credit by examination, dual enrollment, or transfer credit. Credit awarded for dual enrollment or transfer courses takes precedence over credit by examination.

Advanced Placement (AP)
All students are required to submit an official request for AP scores to be sent directly to Florida Atlantic. High School Seniors should note that AP scores for the current year will be sent to Florida Atlantic in July each year.
International Baccalaureate program(IB)
Cambridge Adv. Intl Cert. of Education (AICE)
All students are required to submit an official request for AICE scores to be sent directly to Florida Atlantic. High School Seniors should note that AICE scores for the current year will be available to send in August each year.

Dantes Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)
Students are required to submit official DSST scores to Florida Atlantic. Score reports may be ordered using the Parchment online transcript ordering service. DSST exam scores may also be sent via US Mail.

caribbean advanced proficiency exam (cape)
The Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination scores should be sent by the school counselor to Florida Atlantic University via email to admissions@alaogele.net. Please utilize the subject line: CAPE scores – STUDENT NAME, ZNUMBER, FAU STUDENT ID.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Undergraduate students may earn credits from approved CLEP examinations provided they have not received comparable college credit in the CLEP examination area. Florida Atlantic will not accept CLEP scores from another institution; scores must be sent to Florida Atlantic directly through the CLEP College Board ordering system. Questions regarding CLEP scores should be directed to the Registrar's Office.
